LOL... you see I had the same idea last summer... the area behind my posts are covered up with newspaper and put some fabric down... we covered the gravel and about a foot past the posts.. cutting the lawn was a pain between them... I just kind of figured it was a good spot to sneak in more plants.. and justified it as making life easier... some pots or raised beds over the gravel... so many possibilities
