Went to the nice Pain Management Doctor Tuesday, and he had me come back the next morning for the 1st of 3 treatments.

I had 5 shots: 3 to numb (each one deeper and deeper to my spine-those were fine, didn't hurt at all. He said I had a high tolerance for pain), then came the dye shot (the mean Dr said I might feel it in my left leg. Holy Crap! My whole left leg came up off that table and went to hell and back!!), then came the Epidural Steroid shot (Evil Dr said it would burn for a few seconds), (Double Holy Crap!! For about 10 to 15 seconds I thought he had severed my leg, and I was seriously considering making "The Dr From Hell" a soprano), but then the burning stopped. It will take the Epidural Steroid 10-14 days to receive the maximum benefit.
And guess what?? We get to have all this "fun" in 2 weeks and again 2 weeks after that. Then Devil Dr does the same to the right side of my spine.
My back still hurts, and I have the bonus of the injection site pain for a few days.
The last time I had steroid shots was about 4 years ago for my left knee. In 4 months I gained 50 lbs. I am going to watch it really close this time. Treadmill is going to get a workout every day no matter how bad I feel. Then I will relax in my tanning bed.
Ok, enough about my exciting life.
