My DGM would pinch off pieces and stick them into the pot with the mother plant and if you really look at the plants that you buy they are a whole bunch of cuttings stuck in together, this is what gives the plant that "fullness".

I plan on repotting and trimming mine in the next couple of months, just as soon as they stop blooming. I am still getting buds.
