They may show up if the temperature rises but they'll just pick at whatever's on the ground. I have a plugged in bird bath that I have on a small plastic table. That's just to keep it above the snow. Around the end of March or so I set it on the ground. That's only because if the raccond DID show up, they won't knock it off the table to get at the water.
