I've been very frustrated lately. At night the sky has been clear as a bell, full moon and stars. During the day, heavy cloud cover, ALL WEEK! The sun is so low on the southern horizon, this time of the year, there just isn't any light. Only gloomy gray! The sky and the mountain tops just fade together in the gray. Not decent conditions for photography. Today I saw this American Kestrel, a rare bird, in this area, first one I've ever seen in Alaska. (Have seen them in the lower 48)
I took a lot of pictures, but the best ones are only fair quality.
