I had just written a question about the male and female but it doesn't look like it posted so here goes again.

For the past couple of months I have had both a male and female Green Lynx on my gardenia plant about 18" apart. The bush is at the entrance to my garden so I check it at least 4 x's a day to see what they are eating, etc. Last night about 6:00 pm was the last I checked and both were fine, no changes. This morning I checked again and noticed that where the male was in its exact place is another female with a full egg sac. There are no signs of the male, no carcass or anything. Is there some morphology with this spider I need to know, or is the black widow syndrome at play?

By the way these are very hard to photograph as there is no contrast between them as they bled so well with the bush.

Thanks
