The jars with the lids I have not watered in many months. With the lids on the moisture stays built up enough that I don't have to water. The 10 gal aquarium I put a little bit of water every few months because it does seem to dry out a little bit with the light on about 12 hours a day. Some of the glass containers have fittonia, begonia, small ferns. One has just one anthurium in it. The ten gallon tank has a mishmash of a lot of different things, fittonia, cryptanthus, fern, some sort of trailing plant. I have just always loved planting in glass. My most recent one is a container I found a couple of months ago for $15 (originally marked $79) at a furniture store that was going out of business. I just happened to be in there with a friend of mine who was looking for something. I walked around looking at accessories and found this heavy glass container with the lid and thought it would make a great terrarium! The heavy glass jar sits down inside the base. |
