Thanks for that info Barb. I'm wondering if I could move it to my screened pool enclosure to a spot where it would only get morning sun and then be shaded by early afternoon. I think I will try it, slowly. Oh, yes our sun can be so intense down here, even morning sun! I know about sunburned plants, have had a few over the years, usually from moving things around, getting sidetracked and leaving them out too long! Last week I took H. brevialata out into the back driveway to give it a BATS bath (found some webbing and thought it might be mites of some kind.) I have a huge plastic planter bowl that doesn't have drainage that I use for dunking plants so I mixed up the bats in water in that big bowl and sat the brevialata down into it to soak up the BATS solution ... it sat there for two days because I got sidetracked and forgot it! I am so glad that location is shaded from the intense afternoon sun!

Not a good picture but I love the veining in this one I got in a trade last year. I forgot to look at the tag but I think it's H. aff finlaysonii?
