Maybe you can find some kind of cips or something at the hardware store that would hook under the siding without having to make holes? I'm not sure. Or maybe you can attach something way at the top, under the soffit and hang down heavy duty fishing string with knots in it to climb on? Just a few ideas. I'm sure there has to be SOME way you can do it there without putting holes in the wall.

Clematis is what I call a 'twister'. It doesn't attach itself to anything...it will only twist or wrap itself around something it finds nearby to climb on...like a morning glory does.
