While this little gem make not pack the visual 'awe', the unique & enticing sweet scent of the 'Midnight Candy' is alone enough worth considering to at least have in container/pot or two to place on your deck/porch or window. Last year was my first year of growning this....and found that it had a tendancy to get a little ragged looking even though it is a multi-branching plant. This year, I have been clipping and keeping the plant to a nice compact height...found that this really encouraged extensive repeat blooming. I have multiple plants situated in various locations ie: full sun, in pot on deck with partial sun in Redwood setting etc... This little trooper is pretty darn hardy...worthy of having in your garden just for the scent alone! |
