Seeds from the nothern states to the warmer states

south central, WI(Zone 5a)

It occurred to me, that the seeds that I have traded have come from plants that I let self-seed in the garden and they have the "benefit" of a long cold season. I know that on some packs of seeds I put "should probably be chilled", but have not done on all of them and maybe they do not all need it, they just get it here automatically. I can check for next seasons trades, which ones absolutely need the cold period; but in the meantime.....if you got seeds from me and are not in areas that get a few weeks of cold; you may want to pop the seeds in the freezer. I let Mother Nature do that for me with annuals, bi-ennials and perennials--she has a better growing record than I do!!!

HI,
I would just put them in the refridgerator not the freezer. You don't want them to freeze solid.
Smiles :-)
