Yeah, I thought that flower in that picture looked different than 'Miami Rose.' 'Miami Rose' is only about a 2-inch flower, I think. That is a pretty good size at 3 and a half. It is lovely in any case.

That lizard is good in your garden and won't hurt the plumies. I wish I had more of them around.

I don't know what causes that dry patch. I get them sometimes too. It could be sunburn or just general dryness. It's harmless in any case.

Okay, 'Salsa' has an a.k.a. of Rose Red, which is maybe why you couldn't find it: http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/124794/ I'll upload a picture, but you don't have 'Rose Red' there. The leaves tell me that it is a species of some sort, probably a P. obtusa species.

The leaf color in the seedling is a deficiency of some sort, probably an iron deficiency. You could try some fertilizer, but it will probably go away on its own. Seedlings get this sometimes, and people mistake it for variegation.
