Here's the story.
I had asiatic lilies planted in containers that had been happy for five years.
Part sun - container on the driveway.
I moved in july and brought the lily family with me. They had finished blooming by the time I put the containers on the deck at the back of the house.
This spring( end of march) I realized this was a shady spot and wouldn't get part sun for months, the containers were frozen and had ice on top.
I hoped everything would be ok but by mid April when containers in other spits were sprouting lilies and there were no sign of the Melon favorite. I dug around and found bulbs that were short sprouted. I put it back for two weeks and just dug again and there has been no progress.
To make a long story short--How do you plant in containers so this won't happen again.
