Well, hello all! Y'all have been busy!

Laura, glad you're feeling well. So weird to think it's winter down under when it was up close to 90 here today and we're now having thunderstorms.

Betty, sounds like you have had a busy day! I'm worn out reading about your day!

I've been a little busy the past couple of days too. I worked from home yesterday until 12 then took the rest of the day off. Went to order a new 3/4 bed mattress for DD. She sleeps in an old antique sleigh bed that was hand carved by a great uncle for my grandfather. The mattress is made of feathers and weighs about a 100 lbs! It's like trying to move a dead body when changing the sheets! We're keeping the box springs cause that's ok - just getting rid of the "body"!

DS had a baseball game last night that looked like it was going to be dismal. We scored first, then the other team came back and was leading 8 to 4 in the bottom of the 6th (this league only plays 6 innings). Our team got up and I tell you what - the rally caps came out and our boys scored 5 points to win the game! DS hit a triple and if he' was a faster runner, it would have been a HR! Anyway, quite an exciting game. Had another game today and unfortunately, we were shut out. The 10 yr old pitcher for the other team will be going places!! He was the pitcher on our team last year so now we know how the other teams felt when we played them!

Decide to get up early this morning and head into the city to Maymont Park to the annual Herbs Galore event. I have never been before and since I love herbs, figured I could have some fun. Got there at 9:00 and it was already busy. I brought my big red garden wagon which definitely came in handy! I was very surprised but alot of the vendors's plants were quite pricey. I'm expecting $2 or $3 plants and stuff was being sold for $4 and up to $10. So I bought a few things. Some tomato plants; sweet potato vines; basil; hen & chicks; lace marigolds; salvia; and some gourd seedlings. I did splurge on a Orchid Cactus. I took a picture (below) of what it will look like hopefully next year. Mine is still small.

Tomorrow, I think I'm just going to hang around the house and work on some school work and generally just chill. I also think I'm going to work a flex schedule this week and work till 2:00, then come home and work. My bos is out on vacation and this will save us some $$ on DS being watched after school. So hopefully, it will be an easy week!

Well, here's the pic of the orchid cactus (mine is pink!) and another one of Murphy that I just couldn't resist!

Hugs to all!!
