I got a box, with 10 huge Rijnveld's Early Sensation Daffodil from Lawrenceville, GA. The name on the return address is Bert L___ (better not give the last name). I guess this must be a trade, but I don't remember it and I don't know what this one looks like. Ah the joys of creeping senility........

Who sent me these daffys?
Study the thread "BIGGEST" Daffodil and you will find your answer.
Ah Bert, it's you! Thank you so much! I will plant half of them at home and half of them at the cemetery office where I work. Those folks call their cemetery "gardens" but only have shrubs and a few evergreen trees and one big autumn joy sedum. I intend to remedy that.....
By the way, is there anything I can send you. I have some ajuga, good for dry shade as well as other places and some obedient plant.......

Well, do not divide those....plant them all at your house. I will send some more for the cemetry. I was told by a judge to spread it around, so do me a favor and plant them in circles, not in squares. OK?
Yes that would be great...but, a judge? I'll take what I can get. thanks again......
Bert - the "word" will be enjoyed early Spring. I have a sprained wrist, but already told Doug and his daughter they'd be bulb planting today.
These early spring flowers will yield many " awwww, Bert's " next Spring. I picked a place that is on the way to my car every morning so I'll see and appreciate them each day.
Thank you for your generosity and fun with this.
Bert, they are blooming now, huge and long-lasting. I can't thank you enough. They look great at the cemetery, too..
They are so awesome - - - blooming for a few weeks and my other daffs haven't bloomed yet. I will have to get some more of these! THANKS BERT!
