Suzy-I had to laugh at your response to our May 30th frost date (we also have some random frosts in June!). Poor us, huh Mer? Did I tell you guys that my greenhouse has been heavily damaged this winter. We're excited about fixing it and it really needed new plastic anyway. None of the wood part of the structure is broken-so that's good. This pic of it was taken last week-the snow is actually packed so hard that it is ice.(needless to say that because of that we still have most of the snow you see in the pic-but we have finally had some melt off) After it broke I was keeping it shoveled off, but then we got a heavy wet snow that froze hard as ice in place. boo hoo! You can see that the footprints go on top of the few feet of snow-that's how hard it is!
