Clare_CA wrote: LOL, David. I know what you mean. It is very easy to build up a huge collection. Fragrance is very important to me also. These are my top ten fragrances right now: 1. Singapore 2. Celadine 3. Vera Cruz Lutica 4. Barry's Orange Pink (from Singapore -- very similar to Kauka Wilder but stronger) 5. Kimo 6. Angus Selection #3 7. Grove Farm 8. Vera Cruz Rose 9. Mary Helen Eggenberger 10. Dwarf Singapore White Since fragrance is important to you too, I think you will find that the whites and yellows tend to have the strongest fragrances while the reds and rainbows have the mildest fragrances. That is a generalization, of course, to which there are exceptions. For example, 'Hurricane' is a lovely red that smells like cherry candy to me and should probably be in my Top 10, but my Top 10 changes depending upon what is blooming at the time. Since you will be overwintering in an upstairs bedroom, I would definitely add Dwarf Singapore White to your list. Mine is tiny, and I don't think it even grew more than an inch the first couple of years that I had it, but it is blooming right now, and it smells wonderful. Good luck! These can be very addicting as brugs are. Dwarf Singapore White flower is below. |
