Yes, Kathleen! Pecans! We have literally hundreds of native trees that line both creeks and a few grafted trees near the house that make big, fat ones ~ Mahans and Burketts. But I do like the native ones better ~ smaller and harder to pick once they're cracked, but it's SO worth it! One time I spent three hours cracking and picking them to make baked pecans with the Worcestershire sauce and butter, got about three cups. And ... *drumroll please* ... burned them! AGHHHHH!!! LOL! But pies made with them ... Mmmmmm-MMM!

Kenny just came back in from feeding the bottle calf again. I forgot to tell you the funny thing that happened this morning! Butterbean's walking so good today that we went on a "tour" ~ Les is having a bad day with his arthritis, so I walked her all the way over to Mom and Les's house so he could see her. They told me to bring her right on in the house so he could pet her! ROTF! Hereford heifer in the house! I LOVE this country life!

Well, the ham's completely baked, I'm half baked (see pic ~ wed rine is a necessary T-Day cooking tool) and it's almost ready for dinner time! Time to unstuff the turkey and stuff ourselves. ;)
