That Nigella is gorgeous in bloom, and I've heard the seed heads are supposed to be very interesting as well (maybe you could post a pic if you have?). Kassia- I love your zinnia & cosmos combo. Also that sunflower is really different, have not seen that one before.. neat! Al- If you would be willing to save seeds for me that would be GREAT! I am still looking for the Sea Holly too. I know my 'have' list is rather short, but if you want anything in trade let me know. I am doing a trade with someone from Gardenweb that is sending me a bunch of extra seeds she has, so those will be going on my list as soon as I receive them. The Agastache rupestris (rupestrises? lol) I have are first year plants, so not to full size yet. It's a smaller species though, mature size 36-42” tall x 18” wide, with a nice compact & upright form. Below is my Agastache cana 'Heather queen' which I planted last autumn and has come back this year with a vengeance. I love it! It's has a very nice upright form, and is about 36" tall by about 24" wide. I have not seen any hummingbirds near the Agastaches yet, but lots of bees and, to my great dismay, they have been attracted some kind of biting fly (the cana moreso than the rupestris). |
