It was too funny. We went to Brewster Street, got our table, the kids found the playground, we were about ready to order and the power went out. (Apparently lines had been severed a couple days before at the ball park a couple blocks over.) After waiting 15-20 minutes and not being able to order even an iced tea, we headed into town and had cajun food for dinner. At my hubby's request my darling DIL baked me a sugar-free cake which we had at the restaurant after dinner.

For my gift she painted, in water color, a picture of a hot air balloon inflating with the silhouettes of children on the outside of the envelope. I can hardly wait to get it mounted and framed so I can hang it on the wall!


Indeed it was a wonderful birthday.
