I have a plant that grew from seed this year.. It's now about 6' tall and popped two blooms..it was the first of this years seedlings to flower.. Mystery one... where did that tag go to... guessI should look through the bird nests in the area... the flower is a bit small.. but of good form.. there was one seedling without a name.. a unknown cross with my Ollie.. it might be this one as I cna't seem to find ollies seedling... but it's not like ollies flower.. usually bigger and hanging.. and more aromatic than this one.. although it does have a strong sweet smell..
mystery two: at first the flowers are not pointing down.. but are slightly upward pointing.....
mystery three... this picture if of the flowers after they have been fully open for a week still not hanging,, but just slightly below horizontal.. by a few degrees.
mystery four: as I said this picture was taken after the flower had been open for a week... during that time we've had at least two heavy toriental rain storms.. and the flowers have stood up to it without a problem.. my longest lasting most resilent brug flower ever.... Gordon
