I didn't really know what I was doing but had read about laying them flat and slicing the veins and then weighing them down on top of the dirt. I tried that but this leaf was so wavy and curly it just wasn't making enough contact with the dirt and I ended up cutting most of the leaf into chunks with a vein in them and then sticking them in the dirt kind of like an AV leaf. I have been waiting and waiting and had just about decided I had failed when I looked into the box last night and saw these babies. I was so jazzed! Can't wait for them to grow bigger. There are some more pieces in there too so we shall see what happens with them now.
