kimskreations wrote: My hoya Godmother was Christina from Sweden :). A LONG time ago now (it seems) she sent me a bunch of hoya cuttings from Sweden. At the time I didn't really know much about hoyas nor had I learned of Dave's. I think the only one that made it to "adulthood" has been Heuschkeliana (sp?) from the cuttings :( I have SUCH a hard time with cuttings. I have since purchased many hoyas (mostly common ones) and also received some super nice rooted cuttings last year from a friend here at Dave's (not sure I should mention her name without asking but she knows who she is and I cherish her dearly) which I'm happy to report are all doing wonderfully. I have done alot of research and read ALL of the hoya threads and have learned SO MUCH from everyone here and I'm happy to report that I'm trying to root some cuttings on my own using all the knowledge that you have all taught me :) So far they look great. I am trying Curtisii, Multiflora and of course Heuschkeliana as she seems to be one of my easiest to grow for some reason. Most of my hoyas are too small to bloom but I have had a million blooms from Multiflora, Sheperdii (full of buds right now) and Heuschkeliana which keeps me addicted :) Thank you to everyone who shares their words of wisdom to all of us to read, learn and grow on :) I appreciate you all so much. It's so nice to have a garden here at Dave's to share so many facets of life, both living and plant life. I love being a member here and cherish the friends I have met. Kim |
