JuliaSF wrote: Hi everyone, I'm a hoya aficionada in San Francisco. I used to post a lot on the Gardenweb forum a few years ago, but then life got in the way as I moved, married, and had a baby all in short order. Now my life is a bit more under control and I'm excited about delving into a favorite hobby again. I recognize a few names (Hi Carol and Leslie!). Right now I have blooming or budding: H. mindorensis H. subcalva H. ischnopus H. kerri H. australis H. motoskei cv. sunrise H. lacunosa H. calycina Most of these came from the lovely Carol Noel. We'll see if the H. subcalva actually blooms or not. It's put out some funky white-and-green leaves in addiction to the peduncle. Reading this forum, I've learned how difficult it is to bloom. But I also read that about the H. mindorensis, and it bloomed in my unheated flat in February! Happy to be among follow addicts again. cheers, Julia Scheeres This message was edited Apr 2, 2007 6:39 PM |
