I fell in love with this lovely plant when I first saw it in the botanical garden of Rio de Janeiro. It was growing in large groups making a wonderful ground cover.
I was unlabelled but I found out its identity in one of the local botanical books and thought it had to be Philodendron gloriosum (very suitable name!).
I smuggled out a little piece , couldn't resist, and back home potted it up.
It took a very long time before it started to show the first sign of life.
The first year it only made one single small leave, the second year a second a little larger and only now in its third year it start to show some vigorous growth.
Now I am curious what kind of flowers it makes, has anyone ever seen it blooming ?
