Small Favor

I need a little bit of help. Could someone post for me an up close picture of some brug seeds (in the cork and partially peeled) and maybe a picture of a just opened seed pod? I am doing some ceramic pieces using brugmansia imagery- and any pictures yall can post up close of texture (of any life stage of a brug - flower, pod, seed, sprout) would be so enormously helpful. Thank you so much for your time! Susanne

Gee I would if I were home where my pics are. I know I have posted some pics of seeds with cork and one half peeled and some all peeled. But I have no idea which threads I posted them on. Sorry!

That is an interesting pod Linda. Was it a ripe one?

Nice pod Linda. That is the way most of mine looked except for the MM pods and the seeds were black instead of tan or brown.

Here's some Butterfly seeds right out of the pod.

Great photo Dick (and snowhermit!) - did the camera enhance the seed with yellow or is it really that color?? Mine tend to be green, cream or white. I've never seen a yellow one, but I've never seen but a few hundred seeds...

Oh thank yall sooooo much! I just got back from class and this is a nice surprise- each of those pictures will help tremendously. Keep em coming if anyone has more- yall have great cameras/photo skills!
The texture is so interesting on the seeds, I'm really excited about my piece. I'll have to post pictures of the finished product. Is the texture of a pod more like a jalapeno or more like a peach?
Thank you thank you Susanne

Sherry

i think the flash may have enhanced the cream color a little bit

WOW Dick your picture is so crisp for such little subjects. What kind of camera do you have?

I must have odd pods. In all my pods the seeds are dark brown or jet black. I have never had tan or white ones except for Red' seeds. And when I saw them I was so disappointed, for I thought they were premature because they were whitish. I wonder if I leave mine longer on the plant so they are more ripe.

Some pods are slightly fuzzy. They are soft feeling. When I walk by, I must always stroke them.

Kell, I'm not sure if the pod was ripe as it is my first pod. It was a PB x ? seedling that was visited by an insect. The pod was 10 inches long, it had been in the gh on a tall cutting in water. It started getting mushy where the pod attaches to the stem, so I figured I'd better get it off. The seeds farthest away from the stem were darker, closer to the stem were lighter. I have some germinating now just to see if they will sprout.
