First went perlite then a bag of soil then perlite and mixed well, then another bag of soil and more perlite. Mixed it well again. It mixed well on top of the landscape fabric. Oh, I did pour just a tiny bit of water into the gravel. The soil is just a bit damp but not wet at all.
