When you put a baby tree or shrub into a bonsai pot with the intention of forcing it to remain small in size, there's often a lot of pruning, shaping, and wiring involved in getting the branches to assume an interesting "natural" shape... I don't know that there would be any point to torturing your little synningia that way! :-)

Here's a leaf-offspring of 'Rob's Humpty Doo' that I call "Humpty Who," in a little oval bonsai pot. These pots are great for minis because they're usually pretty shallow.
