Sorry i have not been on very much lately, i have not forgot you lovely people., but i have not been so good in my health, got an operation looming up on a week come Monday, which i'm dreading, it will put me out out of action for some time, i'm really not looking forward to it, as it has come right in the middle of my seed planting time, but i'm trying to do as much as i can before i go into hospital, got the heaters and the lights in the greenhouses going and the propagators, but i'm lucky, i have a good second in command to take my place and look after the plants, Mary-Anne, i don't know what i would do without her.i have also ordered a large 12ft x 20 ft Polytunnel as my greenhouses are full to the brim, and we are going to need somewhere for my brugs, datura and all of the other tropical plant collections i'm growing, i'm always open for any advice and tips on growing tropical plants, we are also planning to grow a large variety of musa banana's, we feel like a couple of kids in a sweet factory, a bit disappointed in this operation turning up now though, i cannot see anybody being able to keep me in bed for long, when the garden and new brug collection will be calling me, lol lol he,he hee, i can'y wait to get going with the brugs and datura!
Janett my lady friend, brought be some brug cuttings from Sweden, so i'm going to blame her for my brumania, when she came across, also some Canna's,and a nice collection of seeds, she is a wonderful lady, she is hoping to come across next weekend from Sweden, she thinks i have gone crazy, because i have just bought 18, large brug plants, all of different varieties, and probably around 300 brugmansia and datura seeds, as i have said in my threads, i'm definitely going to make a tropical garden on this Island, as everybody here says it cannot be done., i have bought 6 giant elephant ear plants, also 6 cycad seeds, and ginko, the golden ones, they are said to be 2 million years old, the palm trees and the bamboo's that i planted 2 years ago are ready to be planted in the spring, i think that we have around 40 of several varieties, we have also bought many types of tropical seeds, and have had a few lovely donations of my friends on daves garden, i think it is really nice that they should do that. I would like to take this opportunity to say thankyou to Dave's garden and all of its lovely members for there kindness and lovely comments and encouragement that they have given Mary-Anne and myself, i really think that you are all very nice people, god bless you all, from Peter and Mary-Anne on the Isle of Lewis.
Look forward to hearing from you. This is just a picture of some of the collection of brug and datura plants i have just bought and alot more seeds, i'm going to make a comprehensive collection, to go in the new poly tunnel i'm buying, i think i'm in serious trouble, do you think i've caught the brug and datura bug, lol, kind regards Peter, from the little Island across the pond.
