Hello we have just about completed our dream garden on the Isle of Lewis , Scotland, we are growing many tropical palms over the past few years, flowers and tropical friuts, also many species of bamboo, from seed, i love the challenge of growing here on the isle of Lewis Scotland, i am retired and disabled and my daughter cares for me, we have an acre garden, that only 9 years ago was rush moor land, and we have both rebuilt the derelict cottage that we now live in, we were always told that we could never have a garden here as the weather is to inclement, but like all gardeners, when people say that you cannot do it you have to prove them wrong, we are trying to make a tropical garden, as the island is on the gulf stream, we have very little frost if any, and i think the soil will be perfect for growing brugs, we went over to a show on the mainland a while ago and seen these most beautiful flowers and the perfume was incredible, and the size of the of he flowers are, well wow!
We open the garden for charities and we have now decided to try and get a large collection of brugmansia, so could anybody please help us and advise us about the growing of this beautiful, plant, and were i might be able to get them, or the seeds, i know that they do not come true from seed, and that they a very poisonous, but then again many garden plants are, from a totally obsessed brugmansia would be gardener, hoping someone will help me with this subject, where better than to come to this forum to find out about brugs, we are trying to start some seeds today,we are like 2 little boy and girl in a sweet shop, over brugs, will let you know how our seedlings come on,so keep your fingers crossed for us, we have two large green houses and a conservatory so we have plenty of room for these beauty's, a link below to our threads that we have on dg.
