I had a pair of sparrows that I really thought were something else for a start, the male was flitting through the branches of a rhododendron more like a wren would. It had a very large pure white patch on its chest, with noticeable white bands on it's wing edges. The female was there too with nest material in her beak, she was more strongly coloured than most. We don't have many sparrows, they are in decline here supposedly, not as many people have chickens perhaps. (I post this heart in mouth, but we can't ignore them!)

I took it from a window and couldn't get it showing much breast, but you can just see the bright white and on it's wing.
