If I'm not mistaken, there's a very brown Brugmansia available...I'd have to hunt down a photo for you - German of course, maybe difficult to obtain, but there's always the possibility of pollen. Found it! See attached photo... It's called Bergfever or Bergfeuer ... It looks pretty grim, but it has those mysterious browns that just might be interesting if crossed with a somewhat violet flower.
