You must have got that one from Shirley or someone else. I think mine has a pretty strong fragrance at night. Yes, the red feather pampas grass is a perennial here, and it gets big! Mine was growing in a container, but the roots grew through the pot and into the ground, and now there is no way that I can pull it up. I think the sky looks hazy in my pics because I try to shoot them when the sun is going down or just before dark or on cloudy days. I don't like the way my pics look when the sun is bright because it tends to wash the colors out and reflect light off of the flowers. It's actually not cloudy here a lot. Santa Barbara, where I grew up and which is just 45 miles north of me, has much more cloud cover and haze from the ocean until it burns off about noon. You are pretty darn observant to notice that, Don! LOL! I can't get anything past you guys! You and Kell sure have a good memory too! No, I'm lucky that the six-foot retaining wall around the property keeps the wind from blowing over plumies. They are snug against each other for support also. Yeah, I do love Kell. I love you both:-) |
