I bought my Cherub early in the season, way before they dropped the price to a couple of dollars per plant. I did have several blooms on mine, but it was late in the year before I got them. It was late Aug. early Sept. when mine first started blooming and the color was much darker than what your picture shows.

Here are a couple of pics of mine that colored up somewhat before the weather really cooled off. And the blooms in these pics are several days old. The blooms lasted so long because that it was cool and rainy, that is the reason for some of the spots on the blooms.

I am sure that when it blooms in the heat of summer next year it will be quite darker. From the shape and position of the flower and the single split of the calyx, I would say that it is a candida type brug, so it should do well for just about everyone.
