Her nightly hunts stopped when she became the hunted. We had a large white owl hunting on our property at night too, and the owl had babies in a tree of ours, and she tried to grab poor Madam by the head, and her talon broke Madam's jaw. Owls grab their prey and fly high with it and drop it to kill it. Well, Madam managed to survive but had to have surgery and a few teeth pulled. That was quite a tramatic experience, but I nursed her back to health, but she never forgot it, and it took a long time before she wanted to go outside again.

I can't understand anyone that intentionally abandons a pet. It makes my blood boil.
