I think that the problem with HG that you are thinking about is, how it gets a "corky" type bark on the stem of the plant. Mine has it, it really is no big deal. Another double to triple orange brug that I like better than HG is Desiree. It is almost identical to HG, if I did not have mine labled, I would not really be able to tell the two apart. The reason that I like Desiree a little better is, it won't drop its buds as bad as HG, but it does drop them. And the fragrance of Desiree is a little better and stronger than that of HG if you can beleive that. Here is a pic of mine (Desiree) from last year. Mine has already bloomed a couple of weeks ago and I did not take any pics of it. I do have some more buds on it, but I may have to move it in for the winter before it gets to bloom again. |
