Lilies: Bulb Deformity?, 1 by magnolialover

I went digging and dividing yesterday, to my OT lilies, their first divisions. I was so proud of how, after just 2 years, how many new bulblets had formed and sprouted stems. One lily had a very strange growth coming from the base of the stem. This lily had made successful divisions this year, which flowered and looked normal. This lily is a Robert Greisbach OT that I had purchased from Brecks a couple years ago.
I'm hoping it is not some disease, but I really haven't seen anything like it thus far. Any ideas of what caused this?
