I do believe.. or cut them back and cover with straw and fresh horse manure.. I built a bunch of houses there ..and one for mother..see you on my next trip there... I'll still send you a pile this fall.. or tomorrow myself... let me know when you have a bit of time or space to manage them.. Gordon
