Dip 'n Grow. He said it was great stuff. I also am using the orchid moss. Barb sent me a box of it and I do like it. The time of year also affects the success you achieve as well as the cultivar's own traits. The more into fall we get, the less they will want to root. The plants are slowing down. So best to try as early as possible. I used to be able to root anything, but I get rot now too. I often think I must have a bacteria or a fungus hanging around now that gets them which I didn't before. When I bag them, I seem to do better. Here is a batch of Double Pink cuttings I did in the orchid moss only, no rooting hormone. I have lost 3, and got 3 going. Sadly, I have about 15 people wanting them. I should get them out fast before I kill them all. LOL. The lower parts did the best, as usual. I am going to do another batch and try the rooting hormone that Kyle recommended. I should put them on a heating mat too. |
