Lake Superior is in the background. They had a severe wind storm pass through the area about a month ago that did fairly extensive damage to a number of trees. White & Bur usually get the nod for hardy Oaks with most picturesque form, but I'd say this one is right there with them. Plus it has the advantage of being a faster grower than either and has better fall color than Bur Oak.
