Mexican Buckeye, Ungnadia speciosa,is a Native Texas large shrub or small tree, that can grow up to 15 feet tall, so it is suitable for small spaces.
It blooms at about the same time as the Redbud, anf the flowers are similar in color, but the form is very different.
It likes sun or partial shade, and it is drought tolerant, cold hardy, and fairly fast growing.
