Roughleaf Dogwood, Cornus drummondii, is a Native Texas shrub or small tree, that grows 8 to 15 feet tall, with lovely flowers in the spring and small berries that the birds love.
The squirrels like them too, so much so, that I never get to see them ripened.
The leaves are shiny green similar to the redbud leaves. This is a great tree for a fence row, since it tends to sucker.
I have had mine for seven years and I love it.
Josephine.
