hoyanut wrote: Well it has been a long wait. My formerly called lasiantha (not crazy about the new name, praetorii) has finally opened it's buds today. I really think this has been the slowest developing buds I have ever experienced on my Hoyas. I am thinking it has taken at least 2 months......but so worth it. We all have seen pictures of the beautiful flowers, but when they are very own and right in front of your face. Oh how wonderful! When they say this is an early bloomer, they are right now target. I got this very small rooted cutting last September, and now it's blooming. I also have 2 umbels of bella open, buds on IML 831, Thai 2, serpens, and heuschkeliana (yellow). Bella is one of my favorites, but I sure am fasinated with the flowers of former lasiantha. My picture isn't great, but wanted you all to see it. Deb |
