McCool wrote: Hi folks, We actually got a little snow today --- only 1/2 inch or so, but it was rather unexpected. Wonder what the weekend and the expected snow will be like! Maria, I'll add my comments to the rest. Your menu sounds wonderful. I hope you all enjoyed it to the fullest (no pun intended). As far as the glassware is concerned, I had looked for any distinguishing marks and found nary a one. I think that it must all be inexpensive, run-of-the-mill pressed glass, but some of it is still quite pretty. DH took some photos this morning so I'll post some. Please bear with me as I don't know how to make one of those photo collages and will have to post them one by one. Susan, glad to hear that your daughter's surgery went well and hope that she has a very swift recovery. V-ann, also glad that your DH seems to be progressing well. D'cat, same goes for your MIL. After all that she (and all of you) went through, I think she deserves to have smooth sailing for the rest of her life. Dmcd, I thought that WE had spoiled pets! Not a patch on yours, from the sound of it. Hey 101, ~~~~~ I'm waving back at ya. Darius and scooter, 2000 feet of storage and craft space??? You realize you've just reduced me to tears, don't you? I think I've got about 2 sqare feet of workspace in my store and not a whole lot more at the house. M5, tgif, lauri, Mary, and suzieq, waves and greetings to you as well. I've read everything, but still have more work to do tonight before I get to relax, so I'm going to post those pics of the glassware and then get myself in gear again. 101, I wish that you could see these, but it would take me about a week to try to describe each one with enough detail for you to be able to envision them. They are mostly bowls of various sizes plus a footed plate and a pair of branched candleholders. Some are clear glass and others are lightly tinted yellow, pink, amber, or blue. Most have patterns in the glass. Okay, here goes. |
