meezersfive wrote: So many posts, so little time!! Took me an hour to catch up! Usually I check in a few times during the day but not yesterday. No wonder WS missed the locked out of the house stories! I have that T-shirt too. What's worse, I could see the keys on the kitchen table through the window. Which was my point of entry after destroying the screen and jimmying the window... Even worse, once, during my divorce stress, I exited my car in our parking structure at work, went to my desk...only to be told by my smirking boss about an hour later that I had left it running........ Tree trimmers must have the lowest job requirements of any utility workers. They certainly don't even try to make it look decent We actually called to have an ancient willow removed from our farm property because it was interfering with the power lines. They took the whole top of it. Left all the debris. Left a twenty foot stump sticking up. We had some interesting discussionss about what to do with the stump... totem pole? purple martin home for 1000 birds? Paul Bunyon statue.....? Some old fella came along and took it for firewood for his green house. 'Lainey, lasso a fish! That's doing it the hard way! What a show off! LOL Are you now classified as an expert fisherwoman? Susan, I still miss our waterbed and it's been five years! We always had company there too, cats loved it. That's why I ended up buying one of those under the pad bed warmers, can't stand getting into a cold bed in the winter. I used to raise bread in it too! Perfect temp, no drafts, just wrap it up real well and let it be cozy! How is Mercky? Souky had a rash like that last week but since she and Sammi have reached some kind of truce, it's going away. Just another of her neurotic reactions to the nookitty. Sheesh! Ann, good job on the computer purchase. I have trouble with the small keyboard on a laptop but they sure are handy. DD got one from her DH for Christmas and she loves it. Babs, I think we have all fallen in love with your Mom! She sure keeps us interested..and sounds pretty sharp for her age. Remember to tell us the talk show story! It's so nice to see you here more often, we missed you! Maria, you have to give us all the recipe for the Palichinkkins...if they are like the rest of your kitchen wonders, we'll enjoy them. FC, those epi pens don't have much of a shelf life, good thing you stay super alert for problems. Too bad your DD has the same problems, it's much more difficult with children. Casey, good luck with your court case, some people are just born to be jerks. What arrogance, wouldn't you hate to have him for a doctor? I'd like to be there to see his face too. How did you get in the middle of that...people with a short fuse are dangerous to bystanders. Molly, that a great cart. I love mine, but it doesn't have a little tool basket. I swipe the one off the metal rack in the garage that we put shovels, rakes etc. in and hang it off the side. Cleans up good too. MG, I didn't know that about the moon either...told DH and he was surprised too. A little tidbit of useful information, wish I'd known that when we started our 'scaping. Dcat, I'm so sorry your MIL is having such a difficult recovery. Our thoughts are with you. Her age is definitely working against her, but she could still make a good recovery if they can find out why the fluid retention is so persistant. I'm not so sure the rest of you can survive it though. What an ordeal. Your DH is a champ to be there so much. Nancy, a blank slate is wonderful, but it does take a while to get things established. We're only five growing seasons into ours and are still moving things around, and enlarging beds and changing our minds about what goes where. You will enjoy it, and it is a constant challenge. WS, if they don't give you that job, they are out of their minds! Who else would have your background to bring to it! Keep us up to date, or use us for references !!! Suzy, Glad you brought Nancy to us, I know she will like it here. Don't we all? Finally, for those of you who think Sammi is innocent, let me give you a brief rundown of yesterday. 1. Got up on the counter and ate some of Mini's adult cat food. Twice. 2. Beat Mini up several times until he got spritzed. 3. Climbed up over mom's desk and knocked stuff on the floor. 4. Chased Souky until she gave him several good smacks. 5. Bit holes in a brand new paperback mom was reading. 6. Pulled several fronds off a fake fern. 7. Sat on top of the dehumidifier blocking the fan 8. Dragged the afghan off the couch. Other than that, he was good all day. LOL I'd preview this to see if anyone posted in the last half hour but I'm afraid to....too many POOOOFS lately! Have a great day, I'm heading to the pie place for lunch so I'll check in...might go see Nanny McPhee with my DD.... This message was edited Feb 10, 2006 7:56 AM |
