Xeramtheum wrote: Hi Pam, Is your greenhouse polycarbonate? Propane and its exhaust can, over time, weaken the polycarbonate making it brittle. Do a search using the terms "propane and polycarbonate". You will get a lot of very scientific studies about it. How big is your greenhouse? I have a 9 x 7 and use a forced fan space heater with a portable thermostat. I keep the temps at dont freeze temps, 40 degrees. This is my second year using this system and have yet to have any causalties, even when there is a coating of ice on the inside of the roof! I also painted over 20 2ltr soda bottles black and filled them with water. I make sure that really tender plants are on top of them and the plants on top of bottles actually put on a lot of new growth over the winter. Hope this helps. Xeramtheum |
