Sarv, great fish fry...bread sounded terrific, it's such fun to have a variety of foods to choose from, and enjoy. The bread I made yesterday didn't mix very well in the machine, so it was kind of lumpy, but it went well with the pea soup. And your seeds sprouted already! Gives us all something to look forward to.... Maria, early treatment for prostate cancer is usually quite successful, although unpleasant. I hope he tolerates it as well as a friend of ours did, and comes through it with good results. Samson wants in and out and in and out...lol, just like kids!! MaryE, DGS and DIL's little dog is half Jack Russell and she is just a ball of fire, even more energetic than Samson. But she is sweet natured and eager to please, and obeys well. You have your hands full with a JR on a leash! New kitty has settled in nicely, I see. Isn't she a lucky little cat! Okus, it is sad to lose a tree, it takes them so long to get established. The ones we planted here are finally starting to look like something more than sticks, and most are four years in the ground already. I would guess your perpetrator has some undercarriage damage that will cost them (or a parent) some $$ to repair. We lost a silver maple that way which was a heartbreak for my girls because they used to play "house" under it, and it was a favorite spot for them in summer. 9kittymom, I'm doing the one armed pull up too, maybe next week I'll have DIL make an appointment for me with one the quacks, I mean Doc's, where she works and see if they can do something about it. The trick to pulling up is to use only the good arm, and alternate pulling up the back, first left, then right, repeat as needed, and let the bad arm just remain stationary. Once you get the back up over your behind, it's easy to get the front in place. The rest is easy, but you might want to think elastic waistband!! Carat, when I quit caffeine, I tapered off over a period of a week or two. I quit mostly because I was tired of waking up with a headache. Now , I grind my beans 4 decaf. to 1 regular. Which is enough to wake me up but not enough to create withdrawal. So I'm not totally caffeine free ...why does your doctor want to you give it up? The breast cancer link never proved out, it was just another one of those scary theories that didn't hold up. Ann, the ice lanterns looks beautiful, as do your chair covers. I did the paper lanterns one year for Christmas, but the ice ones are so much prettier! The party sounds like it went perfectly, but I wouldn't have wanted to deal with the clean up. Just think of the seasonal patterns you can use for the rest of the year....! And time to do them once the food cupboard is no longer demanding your time. Ohhhhh, that's right, you're waiting for kitty pictures!! We picked him up about 2:30, he complained all the way home and spent most of his time trying to crawl up under my jacket. Introduced him to the girls. Souky is quite put out, but Mini is very curious. DH said as soon as they figure out he's throwing off body heat, he will be their new best friend. Right now he's asleep in one of the hat boxes, next to the heat vent. He used his temporary litter pan, did a triumphant happy dance about it, and spent a little time exploring the new unknown territory. We spend a lot of time tracking him, and shutting closet doors and other accessible hiding places. He's small enough to lose in a shoe! Here he's checking out the tv cabinet, and Mini is keeping a close watch on him. Souky is off somewhere, either pouting or planning an assault. |
