Lots of people do not peel them, I always do. I actually enjoy doing it as I watch TV. A mindless activity! I bet you could score them though I never have. I let the seedlings get a couple of inches tall before I pull them out of bag and put into soil. I love it when they are in the bag for I do not have to worry about them at all. No watering! So sometimes I leave them in for a while longer than needed.

LOL John, wait till your brugs are covered in mites. Talk about having patience. LOL. I am not as hot for the green clivia, but the variegated are so pretty they do not need to flower.

Linda, the good seed are SOOOO EXPENSIVE!!! LOL. I had my eye on some that were $10 a seed with no guarantees they would be variegated or even germinate. I see some go for even more than that. I am an ignorant novice but as I understand it, there are no guarantees at all. Also if seed pod is all white, the seedlings from it probably will be albino and die. So you really need to know what is going on.

Have you seen the short fat seed stalks that are so variegated right up into the seed pods? What a sight. LOL
