I bought an Alocasia Borneo Giant. It is doing good in a 3 gallon pot. I haven't put it in the ground yet because I need to know what it likes. I live in the southmost tip end of Texas, the sun can be intense here. Does this plant like full sun or need some shade? It is in morning sun now, under an esperanza tree. Here is a picture, the damaged leaf got that way because the sprinklers were running in the heat of the day and the leaf was scorched by the sun shining on a wet leaf.
A. mac and A. portadora do well in full sun here as long as I remember to water. Also A. black stem will grow in full sun, but does better in morning sun if that helps any.
