DGS had his first soccer match of the season today, boy was it hot and that was just watching! They all came up for a swim in the pool after the game to cool off. Much complaining because the water temp was only 79. We had a very cool day yesterday, which coupled with the overnight low caused the water temp to drop from the 86 its been running at. I prefer it cooler, I feel more like actually swimming rather than just floating about turning into a prune.

DS just had a house disaster too - opened the garage door and instead of sliding up in a gentle curve, it folded in half like a sandwich! and it won't unfold. Now of course he has to replace it, and as they have a 2 door garage he will have to do both as they can't match it either. I wonder what is next!!

That is a beautiful rose Maria, do you know what it is called? Looks like one of the old fashioned "cabbage roses", I love those. Does it smell? I love the house too, both of them, even the small one has a lot of space really and it does have character too.
The photo is off the garden we left in England, it took around 12 years to get like that though so there is time for this one to come on!!

There is a curry finishing cooking in the slow cooker, should be done for dinner, with boiled rice and Naan bread if I can be bothered to make it. There is loads so there should be some cyber curry on the counter shortly.
